Stephen is Director, Policy and Advocacy at the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions. His team works both to speak up for libraries in international fora, and to support associations and institutions in order to advocate more effectively for the laws and policies that will enable the profession to fulfil its missions. His team works on copyright (including the Knowledge Rights 21 Programme), human rights, internet governance, sustainable development, culture and heritage.

    Stichting IFLA Foundation Programme, in partnership with IFLA, LIBER and SPARC Europe are implementing a three-year Arcadia Foundation-funded programme to reform copyright laws and regulations that enable libraries to provide significantly improved access to and use of copyrighted works.
