Call for Sponsors

On behalf of Organizing and Programme Committees of the international conference PUBMET2022: The 9th Conference on Scholarly Publishing and Communication in the Context of Open Science, I cordially invite you to sponsor the conference. 

PUBMET2022 will be held from 15 to 16 September 2022 as a hybrid event, both virtual and at the University of Zadar, Croatia, with a pre-conference day on 14 September 2022 scheduled for workshops. The conference is organized by the University of Zadar, Croatian Association for Scholarly Communication, Ruđer Bošković Institute, University of Zagreb and University of Rijeka Faculty of Medicine. 

By supporting the conference, you will have the opportunity to present your products and services to a wide audience, ranging from researchers, university professors, publishers, editors, librarians, information and communication experts to policymakers. The focus of the conference is scholarly communication (publishing as the most visible channel) and metrics.

This year’s conference topics are focused, but not limited to recent challenges in scholarly communication:

  • Assessing the quality of research process, research outputs and publication channels
  • Redesigning Open Access – rights retention strategies and alternatives to paid OA
  • FAIRness of Open Science 
  • Potentials of public engagement in science and environmental activism
  • Raising efficiency and effectiveness in scholarly communication

All topics will be presented by invited speakers and in shorter presentations by registered speakers. The conference also includes workshops, poster session and panel discussions.

PUBMET2022 offers sponsorship opportunities at four different levels: Platinum (1000 € or more), Gold (800 € or more), Silver (600 € or more) and Bronze (400 € or more).  Any other type of support you find more appropriate to your promotional strategy can, of course, be discussed with the Organizing Committee.

After last year’s very successful online conference with 650 registered participants, which exceptionally, consisted of invited lectures, panels and workshops, this year’s conference will be more focused on the presentation and dissemination of the research data and exchange of the information and ideas from various experts, researchers, information specialists and librarians, editors, publishers, educators, policymakers, communication specialists and journalists. The number of participants on site will be adjusted according to the COVID-19 measures.

Depending on the sponsorship level, several benefits are offered, including a link to the sponsor’s website on the conference website and advertising during the conference. Sponsors can also take part in the sponsor’s block, giving short lectures or virtual workshops. Details are given in the following table:
