This year Oxford University Press’s major research books collections have moved to our Oxford Academic platform. This means that our books are now available alongside journals in a single place for the first time.  Books from Oxford Scholarship OnlineUniversity Press Scholarship OnlineVery Short IntroductionsOxford Medicine OnlineOxford Clinical Psychology, and Oxford Handbooks Online, as well as the AMA Manual of Style, migrated to Oxford Academic.

This change ensures that you and your patrons can find, manage, and use content as efficiently as possible.

Oxford Academic provides:

  • Superior discoverability, functionality, and accessibility developed to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • Improved and simplified research journey with OUP content available in a single, consistent, cross-searchable location
  • A single admin portal for more efficient access management

Oxford University Press’s commitment to open access (OA) publishing is a key part of how we deliver on our mission to achieve the widest possible dissemination of high-quality research. As a major publisher of OA research, 20% of our journals and over 30% of our articles across our entire portfolio are OA. Additionally, we publish around 40 OA books each year.  Our approach to OA, like our general approach to publishing, is transparent, flexible, inclusive, and centered on working towards a sustainable future. As such, we support our authors to publish OA, both in journals and books.
